Highly recommend! This sanctuary is one of the best sanctuaries open to the public in the entire country. Tigers, lions, bears, lynxes, leopards, and more! Catty Shack has an incredible population of animals who are deeply cared by the professional staff. The tour was very enjoyable and informative, and you can tell the tour guide actually takes care of the animals there by the way they were interacting with her. She did not force the animals to entertain as itβs a sanctuary meant truly for the animals, not for the public. Nevertheless the animals appeared to be in great health, thriving in their homes. Catty Ranch is a nonprofit so donβt forget to leave a donation and buy merchandise when you go. The ranch was clean, maintained, organized and the crowd size was just right !

I was pleasantly surprised. At first walking through we were a bit disappointed at empty enclosures or hiding from the heat animals. However, once the guided tour started we quickly learned those empty enclosures were NOT empty and we would have been lunch in the wild. Lol The animals gladly came out during the tour. Our guide Steven was awesome. He was super friendly, didn't mind the millions of questions and had a plethora of information for us. It was really cool to watch the animals respond so positively to his presence or absence of in Maddie's case. Inside joke you will learn about when you visit. They had bug spray and sunscreen for everyone to use and also hand sanitizer. We are planning our next visit for the nighttime feeding.

Had a wonderful visit with my husband and 20 month old daughter. My little takes after mom and is a lover of cats of all sizes and she was enamored with all the beautiful animals and being able to see them so closely. Most of the resident animals were chilling in the shade areas as it was a blazing 92 when we visited understandably as I would too if I were a big cat with all that beautiful fur but we did get to see a lot of the gorgeous Amara the tiger as her large pool was being cleaned and her care takers were giving her a special treat for being so patient waiting for them to finish the pool. We also got to see Leo the bear closely who was a very handsome guy as well as the beautiful Servals. Next time we come to visit we are definitely taking part in the night feed tour so we can see all of the majestic animals close. If I lived nearby I would be honored to volunteer to help care for these gorgeous animals as it is clear they are so loved and well cared for here.

Catty Ranch was awesome! The staff and volunteers were so sweet and very engaged with the customers and with the animals. The animals looked very loved and well taken care of, it was very cool to see how comfortable the animals were with the care takers. We went for the night feeding and I highly recommend, such a cool experience!!

This place is very nice. They really care about their animals and take good care of them. If youβre interested in going to their night feeding event the schedule for that is Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays from 6PM to 7:30 PM. P.S: We even got to meet the boss Phil Whiskers (last picture)
